Pluto Journals

Founded in 2009, Pluto Journals is an independent, scholarly and international journal publisher that contributes to the fields of politics, international studies, law, labour studies, political economy and Arab and Islamic studies, among others.

In 2021 Pluto Journals became open access and all articles are now free to read and download. They are the first journal publisher to take all of its journals into open access at one time. Pluto Journals is dedicated to the liberation of knowledge, ensuring that scholarly research is available to everyone, regardless of their financial or institutional resources.

Its journals include:

Arab Studies Quarterly established in 1979 by Edward Said and Ibrahim Abu-Lughod. They envisioned the journal to be a platform for academic research to counter anti-Arab propaganda in the social sciences.

International Journal of Disability and Social Justice a publication that aims to critique, re-imagine and develop new approaches to social justice for disabled people.
